Excellent Find! My husband and I are retirees from Ontario, Canada, and we recently stayed in the Trout Lake suite for 2 weeks. We loved it, and are planning to stay there twice more in the next 4 or 5 months. There’s much to like about this suite. It is bright, clean, airy and roomy. It had everything we needed - a full kitchen, modern furniture, a nice LCD TV, and one of the best beds we've ever slept on. There is a huge park right across the street, and we loved going for long walks and picking up fresh produce at the Trout Lake Market. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby, too. The hosts Jen and Jean are very friendly, helpful, and available if needed. They are also very knowledgeable about the city and are more than willing to help with suggestions and recommendations for things to see and do, restaurants, shopping, and directions for getting there. The rates are very reasonable, the suite is comfortable, the setting is quiet and pleasant, the neighbourhood is great, and the owners very hospitable and helpful. An excellent find!
Comfortable and Well-Located. I stayed at the Trout Lake Suite with my two young children (ages 6 & 4) and we had a terrific visit. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable; the plentiful windows made us forget that we were staying in a basement unit. Jen was a warm and welcoming host, attentive to our comfort throughout the stay. And the location of the apartment is terrific. It's across the street from a very pretty park, and while the house is in a quiet neighborhood, it is just a few blocks from shopping and restaurants on Commercial Drive. I feel lucky to have found this apartment, and I highly recommend it!
Lovely Location, Nice Apartment, Wonderful Host! I came to Vancouver from Berlin, Germany, and spent two wonderful weeks in this cozy, modern and beautifully situated apartment at Trout Lake. Being new to the city I was impressed how friendly and helpful our host Jen was. She knew absolutely everything about the city and the neighbourhood around Commercial Drive. She helped us a lot to get the most out of our stay! I can recommend this apartment to anyone who cherishes a clean, comfortable and tasteful place with green surroundings and enjoys a warm welcome!
Bright 1-Bedroom Suite Provides Terrific Value. This one-bedroom walkout suite is ideal for a couple or young family of 3 or 4. Convenient driving location and terrific value. Comfortable bed. Kitchen amenities. Space in front for parking four-door sedan. Upstairs, owners Jen and Jean offered travel tips.
Fantastic Place in Attractive and Convenient Location. We stayed for almost two weeks in this fantasic property in June 2011. The property went above and beyond our expectations. The home is clean, well kept and everything is provided for you, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy. Our main reason for staying was to sell up everything before relocating back to australia and the owners helped us more than we could ever have hoped. They even gave us ideas on where to go to watch the Stanley Cup finals. It was close enough to walk to the skytrain or enjoy a beautiful walk in the park. I highly recommend staying here for a wonderful vacation!
